The new Drambuie

I grew up watching mum drink Drambuie. I say watch, because in my childhood I wasn’t allowed to touch a drop. It was mum’s drink of choice and when dad took us out to dinner in a restaurant (which he did regularly, about once a week), my brother and I would sit restlessly at the end of the night, while mum slowly sipped her Drambuie and coffee.

In 2009 Drambuie was relaunched to appeal to a younger market. Now, Drambuie 15 and The Royal Legacy of 1745 have been created to appeal to the astute Drambuie loyalist, liqueur connoisseurs and malt whisky experimenters. Mum’s no longer with us, but I think she would approve. I’m raising a glass. This one’s for you mum.

Drambuie 15 is a whisky connoisseur’s expression of Drambuie; made with a selection of 15 year old Speyside malt whiskies and infused with Drambuie’s secret recipe of herbs, spices and heather honey it’s perfect for sipping and savouring either neat or over ice.

The Royal Legacy of 1745 is the world’s finest cask infused malt whisky liqueur. Presented in an embossed decanter, crowned with a weighty cork stopper, The Royal Legacy of 1745 evokes the luxury and indulgence of a bygone regal age. Each bottle is individually hand signed, numbered by master distiller and presented in a stylish presentation box. A total of 2,250 bottles have been made worldwide with only 500 available for sale in Australia.
