DRAMBUIE BRAND ACTIVATION, SYDNEY
THE PREMISE – AUSTRALIA'S FIRST FLOATING POP UP BAR
BRIEF:
Create an engaging brand activation designed to reach as many consumers and industry professionals as possible, drive trial of Drambuie and create 'chat factor' around the brand, repositioning the liqueur as fun, fashionable and cool.
CREATIVE EXECUTION:
A national competition developed by ad agency SAPIENTNITRO for consumers and emerging designers to 'create their own dream bar'. Dedicated to celebrating the best of Drambuie, the winner's vision was then brought to life by THE EVENT SUITE in just 10 days. We then managed, crewed and staffed the drinking vessel over the following month, driving as many consumers as possible through the venue. The result: THE PREMISE - Australia's first floating pop up bar on spectacular Sydney Harbour. This floating open air pontoon was transformed into a stylish and exclusive Dispensary (winning concept), set in a spectacular location designed to attract Sydney's elite, where the Drambuie elixir was be tasted, savoured and dispensed once more.
OUTCOME:
THE PREMISE was the most talked about bar in town for over a two month period with 40 items of media coverage secured. 1,600 of Sydney's elite were able to experience the venue with over 4,100 Drambuie cocktails consumed.

For the spirit 'Drambuie THE EVENT SUITE managed the entire production and procurement of a floating 'pop-up' bar on Sydney Harbour. That operated for the month of October in 2011.
THE EVENT SUITE choreographed carpenters, interior designers, caterers, a marine crew and water transport, amongst other things, to bring the winning bar to fruition in record time for the opening.
